The Doubletree Hotel Denver in Stapleton recently underwent
an $8.2-million hotel-wide renovation. The project included
revamping each of the 560 guest rooms to feature a contemporary
design scheme of rich colors and textures and dark woods.
Along with MP3-compatible, stereo clock radios and an upgraded
in-room entertainment package, the hotel now also offers the
brand's signature Sweet Dreams by Doubletree, which includes
extra pillows, a linen package of a down-filled duvet wrapped
in triple sheeting and a plush-top mattress and box spring
system.
Guest bathrooms were redesigned to include upgraded lighting,
new vanities with granite counters, framed mirrors and a curved
shower rod that allows for 20% more space in the shower.
The hotel's 10,000-, 5,000- and 2,000-sq-ft ballrooms were
upgraded and more than 30,000 sq ft of meeting space was retrofitted
with new audiovisual technology; the fitness center was updated
with new cardio-, core- and weight-training equipment; and
new dining options were added, including a coffee bar.
"We are proud that the hotel represents another fantastic
renovation as part of what has become a $750-million renovation
resolution by hotel owners across the Doubletree brand,"
said Dave Horton, senior vice president-brand management for
Doubletree Hotels.
Schlegel Williams & Associates Inc. of Aurora was the
contractor for the project, designed by Hilton Management/Burk
Design Group.
