Nolte Associates to Design Next Phase of Colorado Springs BID

Nolte Associates Inc. of Colorado Springs has been selected to design phase six of the Colorado Springs Downtown Business Improvement District.

This phase encompasses the streetscape on the west side of Nevada Avenue from a half block north of East Colorado Avenue to the south side of East Boulder Street. Nolte has completed the design for phases two through five of this multi-year, multi-phased project.

The design will include new curbs and gutters, sidewalks and streetscape treatments, including benches and streetlights that match the visual character of previous phases of the Colorado Springs Business Improvement District that began in 1998.

A landscaped median, which will run four blocks between East Cimarron Street and East Bijou, will also be included in this phase of improvements.

Design began the last week of September, with anticipated completion in January 2008. Construction is scheduled to begin in spring 2008.
