The Palazzo Verdi office building in Greenwood Plaza Office Park recently topped out at 450,000 sq ft and 215 ft tall.
The Class-AA, LEED-gold-certified building will officially open in the second quarter of 2008 and is close to 50% leased, according to the developer, Greenwood Plaza-based John Madden Co.
“The successful topping off of Palazzo Verdi is due in large part to the tremendous leadership of Kiewit Construction,” said developer John Madden. “The entire team has met all of the goals we have set, both in terms of timely delivery and LEED certification.”
The 15-story building is located in the Greenwood Plaza Office Park, near major light rail and transportation routes. It features Class-AA finishes, including a lobby area with a floor modeled after Chartres Labyrinth and a 45-ft chandelier hanging from the five-story ceiling.
“Palazzo Verdi will provide our tenants with exceptional space in a very special setting,” Madden said. “It will be our finest first-class office building in the Denver metro area.”
The galleria of borrowed art features original works by J.M.W. Turner, W.T. Richards, Robert Rauschenberg, Daniel Sprick, Wilson Hurley, Kent Ullberg, T.H. Benton and J.M. LeFond, among others.
Fentress Architects of Denver is the project architect.
