Brighton-based BleekerVigesaa General Contractors has started construction on the final retail building at the Palizzi Marketplace Shopping Center in Brighton.
The existing 96,000-sq-ft center, owned by Westwood Financial Corp., is anchored by King Soopers and is 100% leased. The new 3,500-sq-ft retail building is available for lease to a single tenant or to multiple tenants that need 1,000 to 1,500 sq ft.
“Westwood has been committed to the retail market in Brighton since 2002 when we purchased the Palizzi Marketplace,” said Ken Loughran, vice president of Westwood Financial Corp. “With 55,000 existing households within a 10-minute drive of Brighton and the continued rapid growth, we are excited to expand our presence in the Brighton Retail marketplace.”
There are 52,600 new residential units either currently under construction, approved or planned for the Brighton trade area.
“We chose BleekerVigesaa General Contractors because they are reputable, based in Brighton, understand the local market and have the experience and expertise to build this type of retail space on the schedule we need and within the budget we established for this project,” Loughran said.
