Dohn Construction of Fort Collins recently donated $17,844 to the Food Bank of Larimer County and the Weld Food Bank, which translates to enough food to feed approximately 35,688 people in each community.
According to a recent economic impact survey by Feeding America, 99% of food banks in the U.S. reported a significant surge in demand for food assistance over the past year. Larimer County has experienced a 25% increase or more than 11,300 unduplicated clients being served each month.
The donation was made possible with the proceeds from the Second Annual DCI Charity Golf Tournament, which was held at Pelican Lakes Golf and Country Club in Windsor.
Dohn Construction’s Golf Committee of Brian Blake, Annie Brinker, Nate Brock, Brett Brown, Bernie Marzonie, Colleen Nelson and Dave Stringer organized this year’s event.
