Here is a partial list of key ongoing or recently completed green projects statewide.

This eight-story office building in the lower downtown Denver will have retail on the first floor and seven stories of office space. The project team is planning to achieve a LEED CS-Silver rating with sustainable components that will include locally manufactured brick and energy-efficient design.

    The new office building in Denver’s LoDo district includes 113,000 rentable sq ft. Design and construction followed LEED requirements for green buildings, including energy conservation to achieve LEED-Gold certification.

    This 22-story, mixed-use tower at 18th and Larimer streets will be the largest high-rise office building built in downtown Denver in the last 20 years. When completed, it will offer state-of-the-art class AA lease office space sustainably designed for LEED-CS Platinum. It will be the first LEED-Platinum office building to be built in Denver.

    This project will consolidate the multiple offices of one of Colorado’s fastest-growing counties into one centralized campus. Project goals include an open design with a sustainable building that will consume fewer resources in its construction methods and materials. The project team plans to create a campus that will last 100 years.

    The new Argonaut is a 39,000-sq-ft liquor store that will replace the existing store on the corner of Colfax Avenue and Clarkson Street in Denver. The building was designed with sustainability and enhancement of the East Colfax corridor as priorities.

    This project consists of remodeling and renovating the library’s existing 9,000-sq-ft facility, plus an addition of approximately 26,000 sq ft on the same site. This project is LEED-Silver registered.

    Community Bank-Cherry Creek is an 18,000-sq-ft bank and office building with underground parking located at First Avenue and Cook Street in Denver. The project utilizes high-performance glazing and a well-insulated building envelope to achieve energy. Construction methods minimize waste, promote recycling and protect the indoor air quality of the finished building, which is on track to achieve LEED-Gold certification.

    The Edge will be a multi-tenant Class A office building sited on an east-west axis featuring two different façade treatments for maximum energy conservation.

    The 400,000-sq-ft, six-building complex was designed and constructed to LEED-Silver standards. The buildings provides space for 3,800 soldiers to work each day, many of whom will be relocated to Fort Carson through the Base Realignment and Closure process.

    Palazzo Verdi is a $55-million, mixed-use tower with 300,000 sq ft of office space. To maximize views to the Front Range, 10 stories of offices are stacked atop three levels of parking, a 55-ft-tall lobby, a double-height art gallery with rotating exhibits and a full-service restaurant. The project team is pursuing LEED-Gold certification.

    After designing ProLogis’ five-story, 89,000-sq-ft, LEED-certified corporate headquarters, Gensler was asked to design a second building on the site. Phase two consists of a four-story, 84,000-sq-ft building connected to the first building. The project team is striving for a LEED-Silver NC rating.

    This renovation and expansion project entails 23,000 sq ft of additional space for the library branch. The design enhances the existing 5,000 sq ft facility and brings the total facility space to 28,000 sq ft. The project team is striving for LEED-Silver certification.

When completed, the project will be submitted for LEED-Gold certification.
