As president of The Third Eye Group and an adjunct professor of management, leadership and marketing at Webster University, Nicole Singleton brings an innovative mindset to the construction industry. She offers business development and management services to corporations, nonprofits and professional associations across the nation.
In Colorado alone, Singleton plans and manages more than 75 construction-related events and conferences each year and is responsible for developing education, certification and designation programs for her association clients.
“I was recruited into the industry in 1999 as VP of business development and marketing for a national contractor,” she says. “In an effort to learn more about the industry, I became actively involved in numerous industry associations, where my love for the built environment has increased tremendously.”
Active in Big Brothers Big Sisters as a volunteer mentor since 2000, Singleton also participates annually in the Race for the Cure; Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Scholarship program for graduating high school seniors; “Growing and Empowering Myself Successfully” program for Denver metro area high school girls, sponsored by the sorority; and ACT test preparation workshops.
She is vice president of Jack and Jill America’s South Suburban Denver Chapter, committed to empowering youth to excel through leadership and service.
While working as vice president of business development for a construction firm, Singleton spearheaded efforts to create the Design-Build Institute of America Rocky Mountain Region. The process inspired her to found The Third Eye Group, a full-service association management company. Today, she serves as executive director of DBIA Rocky Mountain Region. She also provides ongoing educational and networking opportunities for several other industry associations.
Despite her workload, Singleton finds time for her husband and their two young children. She is also a quilter, jewelry maker and scrapbook keeper.
“Effective leadership is a key ingredient in the success of every business enterprise, especially during difficult times.”
