AGC and Building Futures Council
Announce Strategic Partnership
The Associated General Contractors of America and the Building
Futures Council have agreed on a strategic partnership in
which AGC will provide support for the activities of BFC.
BFC is an independent, nonprofit corporation composed of senior
executives of organizations engaged in all aspects of the
building and construction process, including private and public
owners, planners, engineers, architects, constructors, attorneys,
financiers, accountants, insurers, investors and academics.
The AGC-BFC agreement calls for AGC administration of BFC
meetings, membership and general operating procedures. AGC
will manage BFC apart from its other association activities,
and BFC will continue to act as independent entity. AGC and
BFC are planning to conduct their Fall 2003 leadership meetings
in Washington, D.C., at the Hyatt Regency Washington, September
15-16, affording members of both organizations the opportunity
to attend the other's events and programs.
