ACEC Names Colorado's Outstanding Woman in Engineering

Diana Horner, PE, vice president of Bates Engineering Inc. of Lakewood, has been honored by the American Council of Engineering Companies of Colorado as Colorado's Outstanding Woman in Engineering. Horner received top honors for her significant career and leadership roles as a structural engineer.

Horner has excelled in bridge, water and wastewater treatment facility design for 30 years. She held one of the highest positions of leadership recognized by the engineering profession - chair of the Colorado Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Professional Land Surveyors - from 1998 to 2000.
