The project included construction of a physical therapy rehabilitation area, 24 patient rooms, six medical/surgery ICU rooms, two isolation rooms and one operation room.

Because the building remained operational during construction, numerous safety challenges were met. For example, a strict infectious control plan included installing negative workspace environments for Riviera employees and cleaning all tools, material and construction debris when entering and exiting the work zone.
