Industry Veteran Joins Shaw's Western
Slope Office/Heisler Elected Carter & Burgess Principal/Monroe
& Newell Add Four
Larry Fickel is the new construction
manager for Shaw Construction's Western Division, where he
is responsible for the company's projects between Grand Junction
and the Vail Valley.
Industry veteran Larry Fickel joined
Shaw Construction as construction
manager of the firm's Western Slope Division. Based in Grand
Junction, Fickel oversees the division's field construction
activities, including planning, scheduling and project management
for all projects located between Grand Junction and the Vail
Valley.
Monte Robinett was named the
new chief operating officer for CFC
Construction Inc. in Golden. His responsibilities include
overseeing the company's preconstruction and operations departments.
Senior Structural Engineer Patrick
Farrell, PE, joined CASE Forensics,
formerly Schaefer Engineering Corp., in Golden.
Farrell's duties include investigating the cause and nature
of structural and building envelope failures and providing
expertise in structural rehabilitation, shoring and construction
defect investigations.
S. A. Miro Inc. has promoted
three people in its structural engineering department. Brandon
Warren, PE, and Dan Balmer,
PE, were named project engineers; Erich
Bretz was promoted to Design Engineer II..
Andrew Patapoff and Anna
Olson have been appointed as associates at the Denver
office of IA Interior Architect.
Pam and Dave
Keller of Keller Homes
were named "Industry Persons of the Year" at the
Colorado Springs Home Builders Association's annual gala in
January.
Eric Bunce of The RMH
Group passed the professional engineer's exam, becoming
a licensed electrical engineer in Colorado.
Englewood's Lantz-Boggio Architects
announced five promotions earlier this year. Vicki
Stone and MaryLou Parham
were named principals; Mark Baker and
Paul Bormann were named senior
associates; and Syed Mayraj Peer
was named associate.
The firm also made several additions - Peter
Adams, project architect; Stacey
Rose, project coordinator; David
Bosley, project manager; Rebekah
Pesce, intern architect; and Bill
Parker, Peter Melander
and Matt Brinkman, CAD technicians.
Two SlaterPaull Architects
staffers have become licensed architects - Gwen
Gilley and John Pettit.
OZ Architecture added five
staff members to the firm - architect Erich
Hill and architectural interns Blake
Guyer, Marcel Van Garderen, Lindsey Miller and Michael
Six.
Denver-based M-E Engineers Inc.
announced these promotions: Art Smith,
principal; Brian Kannady, Shane
Lazaroff and Michael Wallace,
senior associate; and Steve Ferguson
and Leonard Gurule, associate.
Also, Xia Fang, a mechanical
project engineer, is now a licensed professional engineer.
H+L Architecture recently promoted
several staffers - Kent Freed,
Ken Dabbs, Adam
Braunstein, Curtis Hendershott
and Gil Hack - to associate.
Accurate EngiSurv's Darron Agawa
received his professional engineer's license. Agawa has been
with Accurate for two years and is working on the Bear Creek
Terrace and Northlands projects.
Jennifer Heisler, AICP, was
elected a principal of Carter &
Burgess, with Jim Fluhr,
PE, and J.D. Ingram, PE, named
associate principals and Ryan Edwards,
PE, Dan Heilig, Danielle
Smith, PE, Mark Talvitie,
PE, and Jim Trott, PE, named
associates.
David Glater, PE, and Nan-Ping
Hsieh, PE, were named principals in CTL/Thompson's
Denver office.
Harris Kocher Smith has added
traffic engineering and expanded its municipal engineering,
transportation engineering and construction services, resulting
in a promotion and new hiring.
Josh Barrett, PE, was promoted
to manage and develop the firm's municipal engineering and
construction disciplines while Michael
Kibbee, PE, PTOE, joined the firm to manage and expand
the traffic and transportation disciplines.
Phil Fowler joined Quality
Electric Inc. in Thornton as chief financial officer
and controller.
Also, President Rex Wiederspahn
was reappointed as a member of the Associated
Builders and Contractors' national government affairs
coordination committee.
Monroe & Newell Engineers Inc.
added four new people to its staff in Denver - Lauren
Grenz and Gregory Leuchtmann,
structural engineers; Sally DiScuillo,
executive assistant; and Winston Schultz,
CAD technician.
Brian Nicholson joined the
Denver's studioINSITE as a landscape
architect. Before joining the landscape architecture and urban
design firm, Nicholson was owner, operator and principal designer
of a landscape design-build firms.
Lisa Ferlita and Mark
Morton joined Alliance Construction
Solutions LLC in Loveland. Ferlita is a senior project
manager; Morton is a construction executive.
Brianna Rhyne joined Denver's
Kieding Office Architects as
an interior designer, where she assists project managers with
various production and interior design tasks.
