Two CH2M Hill Execs Honored with Men of Vision Award/Olsson Associates Names New COO/GE Johnson Hires News Business Development Director

Sam Lapalucci and Bill Dehn from CH2M Hill were honored by the Women’s Vision Foundation with the Men of Vision Award, presented at the 10th Annual Women’s Success Forum on Oct. 3.

The Men of Vision Award is given to men with a sustained track record of support for the advancement of women in their corporation, and where the results of their support and influence have resulted in corporate-wide initiatives and opportunities for women at all leadership levels.


Lucy Sanders, who directs the National Center for Women and Information Technology on the University of Colorado at Boulder campus, has been inducted into the Women in Technology International Hall of Fame.

WITI, the leading trade association for women in technology, recognized four women on Sept. 27, in Santa Clara, Calif. The association’s hall of fame award is considered one of the most prestigious recognitions for women working in technology and science.


Nancy H. Rezac has been selected as the general manager of The Orchard Town Center, the 970,000-sq-ft-development located at the northwest corner of I-25 and 144th Avenue. Rezac, a 19-year veteran of the retail industry, will oversee total operations for the center, including development, coordination of retail grand openings and specialty leasing.


Olsson Associates’ board of directors has named Chip Corcoran as chief operating officer and Brad Strittmatter as executive vice president. Corcoran and Strittmatter will work closely with CEO Roger Severin.


Norris Design recently announced the addition of two new professionals to its staff: John Overstreet and Ming Chew.


HDR Denver recently added two new employees to its staff: Amy Kennedy, senior project manager and Mike McMahon, senior hydro-meteorologist.


Michelle Rabouin of the Colorado Department of Transportation has recently transferred to CDOT’s Durango office to become the Region 5 Access Coordinator. She was formerly CDOT’s Title VI Coordinator, specializing in federal external non-discrimination laws and regulations. In her new position, Rabouin will work with commercial and residential property owners in applying for access permits for state highways.


Bret Johnson of Pahl Architecture in Denver has received LEED accreditation from the U.S. Green Building Council. This brings the firm’s total of LEED-accredited professionals to four. Johnson is currently working on the new Community Banks of Colorado-Cherry Creek project, which is registered for LEED certification.


Tom Boucha recently joined FCI Constructors’ Longmont office as a superintendent. His first project with FCI will be the Wells Fargo Bank at Westminster Crossing.

Mark Ortiz recently joined GE Johnson Construction Co. in the Denver office. Ortiz will assume the role of director of business development, with a focus on new project development in the Denver area


Monroe & Newell Engineers Inc. recently added five new staff members to its Denver office: Mark Daigle, Allison Wainwright, Gabriela Gjurekovec, James Cunningham and Monte Przybylski.


Michelle DeLaria recently joined Meza Construction Co. of Denver as programs and projects manager to expand the company’s commitment to low-impact development techniques. .


Emily Petrilla has joined IA Interior Architects as the marketing manager for the Denver office. Petrilla joins IA from the Chicago office of Publicitas North America. As marketing manager, she replaces Kristen Weede, who has been promoted to business development manager for the San Francisco and Silicon Valley offices of IA.


Gregg Davis recently joined CFC Construction Inc. of Golden as a senior estimator. He has received LEED accreditation from the U.S. Green Building Council and is the first team member within CFC to become a LEED-accredited professional. Davis is currently working on the Osage Courts project, which is registered for LEED certification.
