S.A. Miro's New President/J.E. Dunn Promotions/H+L
Architecture Adds to Staff
Several A/E/C professionals earned
their LEED accreditations this fall.
David Lewis, PE, has been
named president of S.A. Miro Inc.
Three new vice presidents were also named - Brad
Buhler, PE, structural engineering; Milt
Lanser, PE, retail architecture; and Kent Brogger,
PE, civil engineering.
Pamela Sharkey, AIA, ICC, has
also achieved LEED accreditation from the U.S. Green Building
Council.

J.E. Dunn Construction Co.
has announced the relocation and promotion of two key executives
- Bob Latas, an assistant vice
president of J.E. Dunn's Health Care Center of Excellence,
who has relocated to Colorado; and Erik
Petersen, who has been promoted to assistant vice president,
becoming one of six local company officers and 47 nationwide.

H+L Architecture has added
11 new staff members. New architectural design staffers are
Sarah Simpson, Rob Biesk, Bill Dilatush,
Brooke Knappenberger, Ken Bailey, Mike Gross and Kevin
Vrba.
Also, Anna Greene has joined
the interior design department; Kevin
Andrew and Scott Randall have
joined the finance staff; and John
Cooksey has joined the architectural design team in
the Colorado Springs office.

Carter & Burgess Inc. has
added four new professionals - Brian
Werle, Stephen Stillwell, Bill Knapp and John
Hansen - to its Denver-based environmental planning
staff. The move was made to expand the 27-member group's expertise
in NEPA documentation, aquatic and biological resources and
geographic information systems.

James Edwards, who has more
than 25 years of experience in the design of mechanical systems
for vertical structures; and Kristin
Irwin, who specializes in environmental investigation
and remediation; have joined URS Corp.
Edwards is as a senior mechanical engineer for the company's
Denver facilities division. Irwin has joined the environmental
engineering team.

Tom McLagan, president of Hyder
Construction Inc., has recently received LEED accreditation
from the U.S. Green Building Council.

Jeremy Hollands of Cator,
Ruma & Associates recently earned accreditation
from the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED program.

Gordon, Gumeson and Associates
has announced that more than one-third of its technical staff
now holds LEED accreditation. The following engineers have
earned the certification: Eric Johanson,
David Kambich, Karena Broman-Ballas, Khalil Dana, Mary Gizzie,
Thomas Barwinski, Nancy White, Mike Wolf and Jennifer
Schaefer.

Jean Sebben, president and
owner of Jean Sebben Associates LLC,
has earned accreditation from the U.S. Green Building Council's
LEED program.

Dusty Morgan has been promoted
to senior vice president of ISEC Inc.
He and Joan Norblom, senior
vice president and regional manager of the Rocky Mountain
Region, have also been appointed to the company's board of
directors.

Jason Scandrol has joined BCER
Engineering Inc. as a project engineer. He will work on AT&T
projects, which include maintaining facilities throughout
Colorado and neighboring states.

The Norris Dullea Co of Denver
has added two new professionals to its staff - Jordan
Dame as a landscape architect and graphic information
systems specialist and Michael Leutenecker
as a landscape architect.

Hal Ogle, a LEED-accredited
electrical engineer and lighting designer with more than 21
years of experience, has joined Beaudin
Ganze Consulting Engineers Inc. as an associate in
the firm's Denver office.

Brad Staver, lead mechanical
engineer and project manager in Denver, and Patrick
Burns, a LEED-accredited lead electrical engineer and
lighting designer in Vail, have been named associates. Tracy
Dible, a LEED-certified mechanical engineer in Denver
office, has been promoted to project engineer.

Three members of Newman Cavendar &
Doane's staff - Jeff Frahm,
Rochelle Manhart and Saeng Inthavong
- have recently earned the U.S. Green Building Council LEED
accreditation.

Linda Anderson and Elizabeth
Ochsner have been promoted to associates at Lafayette-based
Design Concepts. Anderson, who
joined the firm 11 years ago, oversees the firm's bookkeeping,
day-to-day management and marketing. Ochsner has been a landscape
architect at the firm since 1997.

Brock Foster has joined CTL
Thompson as a project engineer in the firm's Colorado
Springs office. He responsibilities include managing and performing
Phase I environmental site assessments and soil and ground
water quality investigations.

Colorado State University civil
engineering major Eric Richards
is the recipient of the first scholarship to be awarded by
the Denver Chapter of the Construction
Specifications Institute. The scholarship committee
will also award a one-year student membership to scholarship
runner-up Matt Newman, who is
studying architecture at the University of Colorado.

James King, a partner with
Baker & Hostetler LLP in
Denver, has been elected president of the
Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation, an educational
institution dedicated to the study of the legal systems and
issues affecting mineral and water resources.

Steve Parker,
president emeritus of the Bank of Colorado
in Durango; and Greg McKnight,
a business consultant for Chase Manhattan;
were recently elected to one-year terms as chairman and vice
chairman, respectively, of the Colorado
Transportation Commission.

Real estate banking veteran Roger
Larson has joined FirsTier Bank
as senior vice president with responsibility for commercial
real estate lending for construction and interim loans.

Golden Triangle Construction
of Longmont has added two new professionals to its ranks -
Dennis Richard, director of
business development; and Scott Cadwallader,
estimator.

The Norris Dullea Co.
in Denver, has hired Allison Santoro
and Lars Erickson as landscape
architects and Desiree Thorpe
as an administrative assistant. Jennifer
Kraai has been promoted to executive assistant and
Jay Griffin, senior associate,
has earned LEED accreditation from the U.S. Green Building
Council.

Shaw Thomas has been promoted
to senior vice president and manager of residential construction
for Colorado at Compass Bank,
where he will lead a team of lenders responsible for developing
and managing a portfolio of development, construction and
mini-perm loans for real estate developers and builders throughout
the Colorado market.

RNL Design has welcomed three
new employees to its Denver office - Sai
Balakrishnan, an urban designer; Patty
Thwaites, an interior designer; and Jennifer
O'Hara, marketing coordinator.

John Ewy, PE, and Kari McDowell,
PE, have been promoted within Drexel,
Barrell & Co. Ewy has been named assistant department
head for the water resource engineering department in the
Boulder office.
F. Brian Thye, PE, has also
joined the company as a senior project manager in its Boulder
office.

James McCurley has been promoted
to vice president of the Facilities Service Group at Bryan
Construction in Colorado Springs. McCurley has been
with the company for more than 12 years.

Joseph DesJardin, PE, has been
named project manager for JR Engineering's
North Denver office. DesJardin has more than 24 years of broad
civil engineering experience, including expertise in roadway,
utility and storm water project management.

Jim Maiocco, PE, has rejoined
the Denver office of Lampson International
LLC, where his responsibilities include assisting Vice
President Bucky Gros in the
daily operations, sales and engineering of heavy lift, crane
rentals and transportation equipment throughout the United
States.

C. David Gaige, PE, has joined
Burns & McDonnell Engineering
as an environmental program manager in its Centennial office.
Gaige has more than 29 years of experience- 10 of those in
Colorado - and expertise in the full range of environmental
requirements and compliance issues that major projects face
today.
