Drinkwater Wins ABC National Award/CU
Professorship Honors RNL Founder/Boulder Associates Announces
Promotions
Associated Builders and Contractors
presented its 2005 Craft Professional of the Year award to
Ray Drinkwater, an electrical foreman at Greiner Electric
LLC in Littleton.
Ray Drinkwater,
an electrical foreman for Greiner Electric
LLC in Littleton, was named Craft Professional of the
Year by Associated Builders and Contractors during the organization's
2005 national convention, held in late February in Orlando.
The award recognizes a craft professional "who excels
in his or her field, maintains a lifelong commitment to training
and upholds the merit shop philosophy."
Drinkwater, who has worked in the local construction industry
since 1993, is also a level-one electrical instructor for
the Construction Industry Training Council of Colorado. He
has provided craft leadership on numerous projects and serves
as a mentor to teenagers for the Mile High Youth Build of
Denver.

Mira Theisen has been promoted
to associate at Denver's Sink Combs
Dethlefs Architects, where she is a project manager
for the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs Student
Recreation Center and the Wood River YMCA in Ketchum, Idaho.

John Rogers, FAIA,
principal and founder of RNL Design
and an alumnus of the University of Colorado's Executive MBA
program, has been honored with the creation of the John B.
Rogers Term Professorship at CU Denver's School of Business.
Rogers was recognized for his work to promote understanding
of architecture and design to students in the business school
while advancing the teaching of business principles to students
at the architecture school.

Michael Mismash, who has 25
years of experience in marketing and construction project
oversight, has been named manager of business development
for Turner Construction Co.
in Denver.

Miles Krogman, a foreman with
Riviera Electric, was awarded
a $1,000 safety prize from The Weitz Co. He was recognized
for his zero-accident record on the Aspen Valley Hospital
project.

Kevin Pope has been promoted
from associate to principal at MKK
Consulting Engineers Inc., where he is a lead mechanical
engineer in the firm's Billings, Mont. office.

Mike Wisneski, AIA, has joined
M+O+A Architectural Partnership as project manager
and project architect.

Mike Branigan has joined the
advertising staff at McGraw-Hill Construction
in Denver as an ad director/account manager for Colorado
Construction magazine and The Daily Journal. Branigan
was formerly with The Denver Business Journal. He will also
represent specialty and custom publications, including Colorado
Builder Forum, AIA Architect Colorado, My House in the Mountain
States and the ASID Colorado Resource Directory.

DiAnn Sherk, whose experience
includes serving on the interior design team for Boulder Community
Foothills Hospital, has returned to Boulder
Associates Inc. as an associate principal and director
of interior design.

Todd Henderson, AIA, Tracy
Rasmusson, AIA, and Dan Schneider, AIA, have been named
as associates of the firm.

Sean O'Keefe, who has more
than nine years of professional experience - including four
years of accelerated marketing experience in the architecture
and engineering industry - has joined Coover-Clark
& Associates as marketing manager.

Tim Hubka, who has more than
25 years of experience in the Denver roofing industry, has
joined WeatherSure Systems Inc.
as a senior project manager.

Charles Zache has been hired
by the Colorado office of Adolfson
& Peterson Construction. Zache, who has five years
of experience in the state's construction industry, is working
on the Greeley Leisure Center project.

E. Kemel Blue Jr. has been
promoted to regional vice president and general manager at
Forest City West, where he will
be responsible for opening and managing properties in the
Denver region, including NorthField at Stapleton, Saddle Rock
Village in Aurora rand The Orchard at Westminster.

Suzanne Wohlgemuth, PE, has
joined CTL/Thompson as a senior
engineer and project manager. She has 25 years of geotechnical,
civil and environmental engineering experience and has been
published in the Transportation Research Record and in the
"Handbook for Stabilization of Pavement Subgrades and
Base Courses Using Lime."

Cheryl Grisar has joined Shaffer
Baucom Engineering & Consulting as the marketing
director, where she will oversee all of the company's strategic
marketing efforts.

Joseph Christie, PE, of Bucher
Willis & Ratliff Corp., has completed the requirements
for the professional engineer's license for Colorado.

Melanie Rice has been named
a project coordinator at Denver's Carwile Construction Co.,
where her responsibilities encompass all aspects of project
management support, including bidding, scheduling and safety.

Architectural Workshop has
announced three additions to its Denver office - Katharina
Baumann and Eric McNeal,
designers; and Jessica Ryan,
office manager.

Steve Suechting
has been promoted to senior vice president at the Denver office
of Trammell Crow Co. and Steve
Bassett has been promoted to principal.

Monte Robinett,
chairman of Associated Builders and
Contractors, has been named director of preconstruction
at CFC Construction Inc. and
Randy Parsley has joined the
general contracting company as a senior estimator.

Todd Grover has
joined Compass Bank as a senior
vice president and manager in the commercial real estate group,
and William Sullivan has been
promoted to senior vice president and manager of the corporate
and business banking groups.

Doug Geist, PE,
has joined J.E. Dunn Construction Rocky
Mountain Region, where his responsibilities include
preconstruction estimating, life-cycle cost analysis, identifying
constructability issues, coordinating utility tie-ins, construction
QA/QC and commissioning.
