Adolfson & Peterson Announces LEED Accreditations/NAWIC Western Colorado Chapter Welcomes New Members
Adolfson & Peterson Construction of Aurora recently announced that six of its employees: Cole Mayer, estimator; Edwin Fowler, assistant project manager; Lee Macke, field engineer; Doug Johnson, vice president of preconstruction; Rick Ritter, senior project manager; and Josh Vogt, field engineer, have achieved LEED-accredited professional status.
The Colorado office now has 32 LEED-accredited employees and 61 nationally.
The Western Colorado Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction recently welcomed four new members: Judy Davis, IFI Construction Corp. and Willison Plumbing; Kathleen DuHamel, Homemasters Inc.; Bobby Sue Beck, Gannon Concrete Inc.; and Shannan Mendoza, a Mesa State College student.
Three Colorado contractors were recently elected to the national board of the Associated General Contractors of America.
Ed Haselden of Haselden Construction was elected as a life member of the national board after serving 10 years as a director. Haselden served as AGC Colorado president in 1993.
Newly elected to the board were William “Bud” Starker of Starker Construction, who served as AGC Colorado president in 2000-01; and Von Fransen of Fransen Pittman General Contractors, who served as AGC Colorado president in 2004.
Haselden Construction recently announced the addition of Dale Furnell to the business development department. Furnell brings 14 years of experience in product and sales of services to the Haselden team. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Webster University, Kansas City, Mo.
Bradley Rowell was added to the firm’s business development department. Rowell brings nearly 10 years experience in sales, including to several Fortune 100 companies in the construction industry. Rowell received his MBA in international business from Dallas Baptist University and earned a bachelor’s degree in international business and a Spanish minor from Taylor University in Indiana.
Dennis Ashley has joined Swinerton Builders as preconstruction manager.
He brings more than 38 years of construction and architectural experience to the firm. While studying architecture at the Lawrence Institute of Technology, Ashley gained experience working for over seven architectural firms as a draftsman and advanced to project architect.
Vail Capital Partners Inc., an Avon-based private equity firm focused on luxury, resort second-home real estate investment and management, recently announced the addition of Tracey Baumgardner as project manager.
At Vail Capital Partners, she will provide project management duties for current and future properties, investor relations support and oversee property closings. She will also assist with the management of VCP’s relationships with real estate brokers and general contractors.
