Part of the Anschutz Centers for Advanced Medicine, this steel frame structure with a masonry skin will total 13 stories plus a basement. The first phase of the project will consist of 101 inpatient beds, three nursing units, obstetrics, emergency, surgery and radiology departments, an intensive care unit, a dietary department, a clinical laboratory and other support departments.

4. Sky Ridge Medical Center

Special features include nine amenity suites, healing garden and other extensive outdoor patios and gardens, patient/family medical library, business center for visitors, spiral staircase and fireplace in lobby.

5. Aurora Municipal Center

The design-build project consisted of a five-story, 295,000-sq-ft city hall that consolidated 28 separate departments from various buildings throughout the city. The interior of the building includes a TV broadcast studio, cafe, council chambers and a 8,000-sq-ft lobby. Attached to the building is a 780-car parking garage and there are also 550 surface parking spaces.
All of the existing utilities were resized and relocated to accommodate the new building and garage. a great lawn adorned with public art finish surround the building and tie together the other three buildings on the site.

This is a campus development for a large engineering firm. The 25-acre site has the infrastructure developed for a total of five buildings, with three of the buildings completed at this time. There are 390,000 sq ft of developed office space with a commercial kitchen and a large data center. The entire project followed "green building" guidelines and meets LEEDS certification.

9. University of Denver College of Law

The new $48 million, 245,000-sq-ft facility will house the University's Law School Library, 15 state-of-the-art classrooms, a 120-seat lecture hall, 31 meeting/break-out rooms, and underground and structured parking for 850 vehicles. Construction on the four-story, cast-in-place concrete structure is well under way in the heart of DU's busy campus. The building's architecture incorporates the university's signature copper roof, red brick and limestone features, as well as distinctive interior finishes including oak and quarry tile flooring.

The new building is located on the same site as the previous County Courthouse. The Hensel Phelps/Fentress Bradburn Architects design-build team was selected through 'Best Value' procurement for the design solution that maximizes efficiency and program functionality.

All of the buildings are radiused around the roundabout on the property line and are structural steel slab on metal deck, with the exception of the residential apartments that will be stick-framed. The project is scheduled to be complete in November 2003.

Located on a prominent site near the new high-profile football stadium, this 42,000-sq-ft facility makes a strong architectural statement by its sweeping curves and its well-considered use of multiple materials including glass block, aluminum curtain wall, brick and concrete. Inside, Rude houses a lap and leisure pool, gymnasium, weight room, arts and crafts room, lockers, a full kitchen and multi-use spaces.
