The design-build project consisted of a five-story, 295,000-sq-ft city
hall that consolidated 28 separate departments from various buildings
throughout the city. The interior of the building includes a TV broadcast
studio, cafe, council chambers and a 8,000-sq-ft lobby. Attached to the
building is a 780-car parking garage and there are also 550 surface parking
spaces.
All of the existing utilities were resized and relocated to accommodate
the new building and garage. a great lawn adorned with public art finish
surround the building and tie together the other three buildings on the
site. The city has also elected to build a 6.5-acre xeriscape demonstration
garden on the southwest corner of the site to help educate the citizens
of Aurora about options for alternate planting and landscaping methods
to help deal with the drought.

The Larimer County Courthouse Office is a new four-story, 124,000-sq-ft
building housing Larimer County's Assessor, Board of County Commissioners,
County Clerk, Information Management Services, Natural Resources, Planning
and Building, Public Works, Treasurer and Veteran Services departments.
The new building is located on the same site as the previous County Courthouse.
The Hensel Phelps/Fentress Bradburn Architects design-build team was selected
through 'Best Value' procurement for the design solution that maximizes
efficiency and program functionality.

The 19,257-sq-ft addition includes eight service bays, office space,
