Fort Carson Brigade & Battalion Headquarters

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is embracing the concept of design-build as its preferred method of project delivery for the large number of quality facilities in the restructuring and growth of the U.S. Army. The Brigade and Battalion Headquarters was the first Fort Carson project awarded under this method, using a design-build competition process. Requirements included a facility based on program and performance specifications, including LEED-silver certification, and anti-terrorist-force protection. The building is now the national prototype for Brigade and Battalion Headquarters.
