Eisenhower-Johnson Memorial Tunnel Panel Replacement

At 11,112 ft, the highest vehicular tunnel in the world, the Eisenhower-Johnson Memorial Tunnel crosses the Continental Divide along Interstate 70. Flatiron Construction renovated the ceramic-tile-faced concrete panels that line the tunnel’s interior by removing and replacing the original panels that had started to deteriorate, replacing 2,191 panels along 1.7 mi of tunnel.
